Three skills, one useful starting point

Work through five math, five mechanical-reasoning and five reading-comprehension questions. Treat this short practice as a way to choose your next study topic, rather than an official entrance exam or a prediction of admission.

Math

Write your steps, keep track of units and check what the question asks you to calculate. If algebra feels unfamiliar, start with our worked algebra lesson and then explore electrical apprenticeship math practice.

Mechanical reasoning

Identify the force, distance or direction described. Read the assumptions before choosing a rule. The mechanical reasoning study guide offers focused concept practice.

Reading comprehension

Use the passage as evidence. Notice sequence words and conditions instead of supplying unstated facts. Our reading-instructions sample shows that approach.

For broader preparation, compare the aptitude practice workbook. Exploring data-center roles? Review data-center career preparation separately; this test does not assess data-center competency. Check the actual requirements of your chosen program or employer.
